Top 10 List - Leadership Resources
Inspired by some great books that have come across my feed recently, and in alignment with NexXT Chapter’s 10th anniversary, here’s some of our favorites:
10. ANYTHING c/o John Maxwell – a NY Times best selling author who guides us to focus on serving others and living the responsibility that comes with leadership.
9. HIGH PERFORMANCE HABITS c/o Brendon Burchard – exceptional insights, and not for the faint of heart.
8. BUILDING A STORY BRAND c/o Donald Miller – if you want or need to become more customer focused, you’ll learn a great model with exceptional communication tools
7. DAVID and GOLIATH c/o Malcolm Gladwell – knowing the value of curiosity, this book contains many different stories of underdogs who beat the odds.
6. First, BREAK ALL THE RULES c/o Marcus Buckingham – what the world’s greatest managers do differently
5. START WITH WHY c/o Simon Sinek – how great leaders inspire action and his related You Tube video is an easy first step😉
4. TRACTION c/o Geno Wickman – effective tools that helped me (and many others) double the size and impact of my business within 12 months, and the proven operating model has enabled us to maintain this “new normal.”
3. Patrick Lencioni – any of his books are easy to read and insightful, and the THE MOTIVE speaks to our most important responsibilities as leaders. THE IDEAL TEAM PLAYER is great for identifying and attracting the right talent.
2. GOOD TO GREAT c/o Jim Collins. A classic - enough said. GREAT BY CHOICE is solid too!
